In cases of emergency or important institutional communications, residents will receive a voice call from the Mayor on their phone number. If the communication concerns only a limited area of the City, the call will reach only residents of those streets and neighborhoods.

The system, already active in major municipalities such as Florence, Livorno, and Naples, and also used during the attack on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, is based on an application installed on the Mayor's phone and a cloud-based platform developed in collaboration with Google, which allows him to record a voice message and send it en masse to all residents of the municipality in the event of important security communications.

Calls will be sent to landline numbers already listed in the telephone directory. Citizens are encouraged to sign up to receive communications on their mobile phones as well.
