The 46th edition of the Feast of San Giovanni – Ineja continues with great participation
2026 , which is preparing to experience one of the most heartfelt and symbolic moments of the entire
event: the day dedicated to St. John the Baptist, patron saint of Oneglia .
An event that unites faith, tradition, culture, entertainment and solidarity, in
sign of a history that for over forty-six years has involved and enthused citizens and
visitors.

A special day in the name of the Patron Saint
The celebrations will begin at 11.00 am with the Solemn Holy Mass at the
Collegiate Basilica of St. John the Baptist in the presence of His Excellency Monsignor Guglielmo
Borghetti, Bishop of the Diocese of Albenga-Imperia.
At 5.30 pm the Solemn Vespers will be celebrated at the Collegiate Basilica of San
John the Baptist. Following this, around 6:30 pm, the traditional procession will begin.
Religious procession through the streets of Oneglia's historic center in honor of the patron saint
of the eastern district of the city, one of the most evocative and attended moments of the
anniversary.
At the same time, in the entertainment area of the event, Radio Ineja
will accompany the public with news, curiosities and music together with DJ Tex.

Culture, volunteering and solidarity
The cultural area of the event will open to the public from 6:30 p.m.
The Festival Info Point, the Children's Area and the health centre will also be operational
Italian Red Cross – Imperia Committee.
A fundamental service, guaranteed thanks to the commitment and professionalism of the volunteers
of the Red Cross, who every day ensure healthcare, safety and support
to the visitors of the event. A valuable work carried out with a spirit of service and
dedication to the community, often away from the spotlight but essential for the correct
unfolding of events of this magnitude.
The City of Imperia and the Local Police will also be present with their own information spaces,

At the heart of the festival, the success of MercantIneja continues, organised with
passion from the agency Espansione Eventi of Paola Savella and Bevox of Filippo Devia. In addition

artisanal products, gastronomic excellence, household items, fashion, well-being and
numerous curiosities, confirming it as one of the most popular events of the summer

Exhibitions and traditions
At the Culture Tent it will be possible to visit the historical exhibition "Scagno 1930" ,
curated by historian Sergio Cecchinel, a fascinating journey into the memory of the industry

Inside the Exhibition Tent, the photographic exhibition "Ineja. Uno" will be open to visitors.

Ineja Food: the taste of tradition
In the heart of the event, on the Aicardi Bank of Oneglia, the
success of Ineja Food, the large gastronomic area that represents one of the
excellences of the Feast of San Giovanni.
Here, cooking becomes a story, a memory, and an identity. Every dish is born from the desire to

At 11.00 pm the sky of Oneglia will light up with the traditional fireworks display of the
